SADAACHARA SMRUTI - MANDODARI AND TARA


Mandodari
As we all know Mandodari’s husband was Cruel Ravana. Even thought she was not abducted by anyone, she was respecting her husband. Whenever she found him making mistakes she would try to correct him. Whatever may be the circumstance, she didn’t lose her respect towards her husband. In any instance she did not lose her character or pathi vrata.

Tara
Being wife of Brahaspathi achar, she was a chaste (pathi vrata) and very beautiful woman. Chandra ( Son of Atri rishi) forcibly kidnapped Tara, and gave birth to budha ( mercury).
By performing rajasuya yaga, through Brahma he got yauvana (youth), sampathu(wealth), adhikara (authority).Once a person has everything he gets an ego.
While he was once roaming near riverbed of ganga, he saw Tara. Chandra expressed his wish to be with Tara. He prostrated to Tara for fulfilling his wish. But Tara advised him not to have wish for others wife, if you do so, all your boons(punya) will vanish. Then you will become asUcchi(impure), you will get dosha. In spite all these advise he didn’t heed to her advise, instead he forced her to nandavana in his chariot. Everybody started to know about the abduction of Tara, including Brahaspathi achar. He got very upset.
So the all devathas, everybody came to console their guru Brahaspati achar. And they wanted to revenge on Chandra. Chandra on the other hand went to gain the help of daityas (asura’s ). Shukracharya who was guru of asura’s advised him, “do not to prolong the fight. You are grandson of Brahma(as Atri was son of Brahma). Brahaspati achar’s wife is similar to your mother. Brahaspati achar is a great brahmana. Abducting such a pati vrata is not good for you. Already you have done a papa of hundred brahma hatya dosha, by abducting her, don’t prolong more than this. To get rid of your sin better go and have a bathe in ganges. ”
So Sukracharya made him bathe in ganges and gave prasadha of Vishnu. And makes him pure inside (prasadha) and outside (ganga snana).
For purusha’s (male) - He says whoever doesn’t do saligrama or Hari pooja let your papa (of abducting Tara) go to them. Whoever have lust on others wife. Whoever has sexual intercourse whenever, wherever possible  (there is time and place for having intercourse).

For Sthri’s (female) – Let your papa go to the ladies who scold their husband, who hurt their husband.  Who do not follow menstruation/ periods rules(rajasvala) of sitting separately, without entering everywhere especially to kitchen and pooja room, and touching everything.

The who eats food on the day of ekadashi, and has intercourse on the day of ekadashi will definitely get chandra’s papa. 
  Thus, just in sitting on one place by not following the dharma we get the papa of Chandra. Now Tara got conceived and everybody had question whose baby was it? Brahaspati achar calls Tara alone and asks whose offspring is it. Tara says the truth its Chandra’s son.
          Since Tara did not agree to be with Chandra, (she didn’t have any lust for Chandra) she only though of her husband alone, she was a pure pathi vrta, and she was not guilty. So most beautiful Buddha [mercury] (Tara and Chandra both are beautiful) was given to Chandra.
*Tara of Vali’s wife cannot be thought here since before and after Vali’s death Tara was with Sugriva.

Inspite of having a cruel Ravana as husband she also respected him.

Tara
She was abducted by Chandra, still she was only thinking of her pathi every second. She didn’t have any wish for anyone apart from her husband.

SADAACHARA SMRUTI - AHALYA AND DRAUPATHI


Ahalya
          Ahalya created by Brahma was the most beautiful lady in the entire universe. Bramha describes as the earthly princess of Lunar Dynasty. Ahalya was placed in care of Gautama, until she gained puberty. She was then married to much older Gautama Rishi.
Since Gautama Rishi made too many punyas, gods sent Indra down to earth to reduce his punya. So Indra, by gods sankalpa came to earth imitating Gautama Rishi.
          Indra comes disguised as Gautama rishi, when the sage was away and requests or orders sexual intercourse. Ahalya falls prey to Indra’s trickery and does not recognize him. Then, Ahalya and Indra are cursed by Gautama. Ahalya is cursed to become stone and regains her human form after she is touched by Rama’s foot.

Draupathi
Draupathi was harassed by Druyodhana, dushshana. We all know karna says : you have many hubands, your five husbands as of now has no valor. So you now  marry , duryodhana as your sixth huband.  She has pathi neshte(dedication towards pathi), she has no approach to parapurusha (other’s husband). She has not even thought of anyone else except of her husband’s similar to sita (who always think of Rama alone).

Draupathi  is not one person. She is mixture of five persons. It’s a long story of draupathi avatara.
Shymala – wife of yama (yuddistra)
succhi – wife of indira (Arjuna)
parvati who is responsible for this shapa
Usha – wife of Ashwini devatas (nakula, sahadeva)
They all are with
bharathi – vayu, as said by Vedavyasa.

·       Once when Brahma was seated, opposite to Brahma è
Shiva-parvathi, Shyamala – Yama, Succhi –Indira and Usha – Ashwini devatas (except Bharathi Devi) were kissing, hugging, and doing lust with their respective husband in front of Brahma devaru (who is jagath guru, peethamaha for everyone). This was an action of insulting Brahma devaru. So Brahma gave curse (shapa) to them saying “you be born in earth and accompany parapurusha”.

It is said by Madhvacharya tatparya nirnaya that seeing parapurusha/parasthree (husband of other woman/woman of other husband) will lead to thousand years of hell. So accompanying parapurusha is considered as Gora shapa.
If a Brahmin woman has sexual relation with a Brahmin parapurusha she will get a hell for 43,20,000 years
If a Brahmin man has physical contact with other caste, from that moment he is not to be considered as a Brahmin. He has lost his ability to do sandhyavadhana. Even if he does the sandhyavandhana I has no fruits(phala).
If a Brahmin woman has contact with other caste man, she gets into hell until the kalpa ends. And the baby born to both of them is called chandala. He does not have the authority to perform any dharmic karma’s.
In the case of devathas they won’t get into hell, but they also get dushphala (bad fruits) and unbearable agony.
*Succhi devi took the avatar of TARA, wife of Valli in Treta yuga. She had physical contact with Sugreeva, whose worthiness (yogyatha) is much less than her husband Valli. Hence she the heaven doors did not open for her for a while. Still, since is devata she can’t be sent to hell. So she unhappily stayed in anthariksha (space between heaven and earth) for 23 mahayugas [where 1 yuga is 43,20,000 years. After 23 mahayugas, in Dwapara yuga she was born as Chitrangada, Wife of Arjuna(Indira). Even though she was born as Citrangada due to her papa done she was not much loved by Arjuna, as he loved Subhadra].

[We should kindly note that just because doing these actions they are not valuable. It’s a wrong thought. They all are not ordinary females, they are sura sthree (good woman)
Parvathi devi is the one who bestows all married couples, who has shresta (best) yogayatha.
Succhi devi is female ruler (adipatni) of all jeevas
Usha devi is patni of aswini devatas who have equal power of ganapathy
Shyamala devi is judge of all jeeva’s dharma and adharma ]
Still, due to their prArabdhakarma they also commit mistakes.
*we should not criticize any devatas anytime. There is no prAyaschitha for this.

Now that they have got shapa from Brahma they all are feeling guilty, depressed and they want to reduce the shapa. These four devi’s sat together thinking about it, at the same time they do not want to be with a person who is less worthy than their husband.
Rudra is the uppermost devatha. They wanted a purusha who is best than Rudra. Shesha and Garuda devaru have equal yogyatha of Rudra. its Mukhya Prana who is the most uttama. So they came out with an idea : If we have to be Vayu’s (Mukya Pranaru) patni then only Bharathi Devi has to help us. [Only Bharathi Devi has the yogyatha to be Vayu devar pathni. Hidimbi is also a element of Bharathi devi (with apsara named Shri) whom Bheemasena married.

They all went to Bharathi Devi. They explained how they got shapa and to help them come out of it. Bharathi Devi told since you have made a mistake you have to set free you do tapas for 1000 years. All the four devi’s do hard tapas. Now Bharathi Devi agreed to help them. The devi’s now started to explain another shapa, and the incident that happened before.

·       Once we four (Parvathi, Succhi, Syhamala, Usha) of us decided to examine Brahma devaru. All the four of decided to take one single body and go in front of Brahma. If Brahma devaru calls us by our names; he calls us as Usha lets us say im not Usha, Im Parvati. If he calls us Symala, let’s say Im Succhi. So we took one body we started to walk before Brahma devaru, he didn’t speak at all. We stood in front of him, but again he didn’t speak to us. Third time again we went and stood in front of him, he simply called and gave us shapa. “ You people are staying in a single body and try to examine me, so you be born as Humans. Since you’re in a single body, you be born with the single body on earth. Since you stood three times in front of me, you will be born three times on earth.”

Hence please please allow us to be born with you in all the four janmas (3 janmas – for single body together, 1 janma for the lust they did with their husband).  Bharathi Devi accepted their request.
So Bharathi, Parvathi, Succhi, Syhamala and Usha are born as
1st janma – Daughter of Brahmin named Shiva
2nd janma – Indrasena – Daughter of Naladamayanti
3rd janma -  Draupadi
4th janma – Chandra


To conclude Draupadi Devi is avatara of  Bharathi Devi, avesha of Succhi, Syhamala, Usha and amsha of Parvati Devi.

SADAACHARA SMRUTI - PART 1 (Pathi Vrata)

He (god) is our bimba, Im his praibimba. I do  things, help others without anything in return (pratiphala apeksha).

Think of pati vrata ladies

Ladies are the ones who donot have rights to read veda. True. Still everyone calls her kulavadhu dharani (told by Shrimadvacharya in mahabharatha tatparya nirnaya “kanyo nidha badha kula dharanithi” ) . Married lady makes progress both in her birthplace and inlaws house. They were very respectable. (Boys are just called kuladeepaka, if he has right attitude, he makes his kula proud but does not improve his wife’s kula).
Now coming to pathi vrata.
They are ladies who are gems. They are the ones who sacrifice everything just for the sake of their family. She is the one with good conduct, culture and thoughts. She thinks every work I do is pooja for Shri Krishna. She is intellect. She is the who respects her husband what so ever may be, let her husband be weak(durbala), ill-behaved(dussheela), diseased (rogi), poverty, worst behavior  (dushcharitra),old age(vrddha), she will never even think of getting separated from her husband.

She is the one eligible for praying shri Hari in her husband. She prays to god in her every work as pathiyantharga bharathi ramana mukya prananthargatha bhagavatha preethi kagi ee kailasavannu maduthennea. (I do this job for the love of god).and do samarpana as  pathiyantharga bharathi ramana mukya prananthargatha bhagavatha ninege samarpana.

How does she lead her life?
She cleans her house (which is temple of Shri Hari), she takes care of people inside her home, whoever comes from outside. She wakes up before her husband wakes and sleeps after he sleeps. She is the one who is tolerant.

Why should we think of pathi vrata ladies?
·       To make us realize we must have good conduct.
·       Our activities should be clean
·       Whatever be the circumstance or situation our behavior should not go in a wrong way
·       Our ancestors thought, once we pray them every day we will remember the struggle faced by these pathi vratas, inspite of their problems they didn’t think or act bad. They acted in the way Dharma thought them.
There is a say “yethatha desha prasudasya sakasha agra janamanah swam swam charitram sikshedan jagathyam sarva manavah-
Meaning
Yethataha – true/right
Desha – country excude
Sakasha - prensent
Agra janamanah – superior janma
Charitram – character
Sikshedan – instructive
Jagathyam – tis world
Sarva manavah – all peoples

The people born in Bharatha desha has full of good qualities. The people from outside Bharatha come to learn from us, the way to lead good life. (Even now we see numerous foreign people joining iskcon group to learn and practice Indian culture. They believe it’s the best culture. Sad part is we have started to follow western culture). Let us all respect our ancestors and follow our culture to avoid lot of guiltiness.
·       We lose our papa and get punya
·       There were a lot of pathi vrata ladies in our culture. But why is that we only think of these five ladies.
Because there were a lot of ladies like Rukmani, Satyabama, Subhadra whose life were moving smooth. But for Sita Devi during vanavasa, Ravana abducted her. Eventhough as we all know Sita was replaced by vedavathi people speak Sita was in parapurusha (husband of other’s wife) house. Even though Sita was pure few bad people speak unnecessarily  on her. Similarly Draupadi was spoken ill since she married five persons. Everyone think how can one woman marry five men.

One may ask how come these ladies be called pathi vrata, muthaidar(sumangali).


These five ladies faced aggression(violence) by male. Yet they protected their pathi vrata. So they are being prayed.
