Day 3 b
Bali chakravarthy
Son of Virochana, grandson of
Prahlada.
He is a Hari Bhaktha.
Inspite of his Guru Sukracharya’s
warning Bali donated everything for Lord Vishnu, hence he became a chakrvarthy.
He very well knew it was Lord Vishnu
he has come in disguise, yet he was ready to offer himself.
God was thus satisfied was gave him
the boon of becoming the Indra in the next manvantara.
He got all comforts in Suthala Loka.
The lesson we get from Bali
Chakrvarthy is Dhaana (offer) leads to become Chiranjeevi.
Whom should we give Dhaana
· We
should offer water and food to whomever, who are thirsty and hungry regardless
of their caste. Don’t offer food and water to nasthikavadhi (atheist – who
doesn’t accept Lord Vishnu and Vedhas). Because it simply means we have given
strength to tha atheist for him/her to spread nasthika.
· Should
offer land, cow and money only to good people who make use of them for GOOD
purpose alone. Don’t lend or offer to those people who destroy, spoil it or who
use these for bad reasons.
Crisp
You should be able to
surrender yourself to God.
Hanumatha
He is a avatar of mukya
prana. He is vayu.
He is the responsible for
our breath.
He is still a chiranjevi
always praying to Shri Rama in kim purusha khanda.
He is maha vidvas (wise).
He had vak chaturya.
He was dasa of Lord Rama.
He can accomplish the duties
that no one can even think of.
The lesson to be
learned from Hanuman is how to adopt Virakthi/vairagya(aversion), Bhakthi.
Crisp
Bhakthi is most important.
Expect nothing from God,
except of god himself. (Pray to god I want you, I want bhakthi on you, I want
to spend this whole day with your thoughts. Don’t pray him for the material
world. A mother knows what is good for child, similarly Supreme Lord knows what
is good for us.)
Virakthi is important for
Bhakthi.
Pray hanuman to give
virakthi, not on material world, but on God.
Markendeya
Here is an interesting story of
Markendeya muni.
He is son of Mrikandu rishi and
Marudmathi.
They both worshipped Shiva and
sought from him the boon of begetting a son. As a result, he was given the
choice of either a gifted son, but with a short life on earth or a child of low
intelligence but with a long life. Mrikandu rishi chose the former, and was
blessed with Markandeya, an exemplary son, destined to die at the age of 16.
He is a muni who got boon from Vishnu,
Bramha and Rudra.
His father did tatva upadesha when just
he was five years old.
He was very smart as the boon was
offered to him.
So the all his elders gave him a guidance:
where ever you go, where ever you stay, if you see an elder, a satvik Brahma jnani
then offer respect, (touch their feet and do pranama) for them.
In return for his respect the elders
would wish him “dheerga ayushman bhava”.
Then he met sapta rishis. He usually
prostrated in front of them. They alo granted him “dheerga ayushman bhava” .
Elders of Markendeya now asked, Markendeya has
only little life time, but you sapta rishis have blessed him for long life, now
what should we do. So the sapta rishis were confused and decided to take this
issue to Lord Brahma who was responsible for people’s life span.
Once they all reached Brahma Loka
Markendeya rishi out of his practice bowed to Brahma Deva. Brahma in turn told “dheerga ayushman bhava Markendeya”. Again the
elders of Markendya told that he has only short life. But Brahma smiled at them
and told don’t worry he will stay for long. He has got praises from many rishis
and elders, hence he will stay long. Still prarabdha karma(collection of past
karmas) will still be present. So go to Kashi and pray to Kashi Vishwanatha. He
will give you a long life. Hence he started to pray Lord Vishwanatha.
The messengers of Yama, the god of death were unable to take away his life because of his great devotion and continual worship of Lord Vishwanatha. Yama then came in person to take away his Markendeya's life, and sprung his noose arond his neck. By accident or fate the noose mistakenly fell around Shivalinga, and Shiva thus emerged out with anger attacking Yama for his act of voilence. This in effect gave him a dheerga ayushya and became a chiranjeevi.
How to do namaskara to elders
Keeping our right hand on their right foot and left
hand on their left foot. (Right hand must be above left hand).
We should have a thought that we
are offering respect to the Shri Hari who is inside the elderly person or the
Brahma jnani.
Vise versa, if someone offer reverence
for us we should think this prostration is not for me, this is for the God
inside me. As Lord Rudra has told “ Gohashayaiva na theham manine”.
|
Crisp
Do namaskara to elders with Bhakthi.
There are four essentials things for
a good life – ayush, pragya, yashas and bala. To get these we need to be
abhivadhasheela (say greetings) to parents, elders, persons who follow hari
bhakthi, dhesha dharma. Do seva to them.
Step 10
Think of them to avoid kali’s
dominance
Karkotagasya nagasya damayandya
nalaschacha
Suparnasya rajasyae kirthanam kali
nashanam
Kirthanam papa nashanam keerthanam
punya vardanam
Step 11
Think
of BHAGYASHALI’s (Fortunate people)
Who is bhagyashali?
· The one who is
very wealthy.
· The one who can
do thinks whatever he thinks.
· Whatever he
dreams come true.
Wow what a lucky person he is, is what we think. But
that’s not the truth. What is the use of that person being a crorpathi if is not offering any of his money to needy, do
nothing for the country’s welfare, do nothing to God. It is of NO USE.
Dasar has sung “ nimma bhaghya doddathu namma
bhaghya doddathu”.
Whatever sampat is there, may be money, physical one
has to offer it to god. Physical has to help needy if he is rich enough, if
rich share it. In whatever we have, with that start to help people and animals
as much as possible. At the same time never get pride your helping others. (its
God has said you to
help, and we receive a lot from Him and give other too little).
help, and we receive a lot from Him and give other too little).
Step 12
Think of acharya
Who is acharya
· One does
upadesha on tattvajnana, dharma, our culture, our duty.
· One who follows
his own teaching on tattvajnana.
· Make others to
follow the same.
Thank him every day for giving us knowledge on
everything. And spread this knowledge with like minded people.(who has similar
interest of knowing ‘shri Hari and tattvajnana.)
Step 13
Think of ANNADATA
Annadata Shri Hari
Thank Shri Hari for providing food to us.
Next think of FARMERS who helps us fill our stomach.
They experience a lot of struggles, still they feed all of us.
