SADAACHARA SMRUTI - PART 1 (First job)

Shri Guruhyo nam: Shri Parama gurbhyo nam:
Shrimad ananda bhagath pada charbyo nam:
Shri Vedavyasah nam:
Shri Bharatyayah nam: Shri Saraswatyayah nam:
Shri Vayuve nam: Sri Brahmane nam:
Sri Lakshmyay nam: Sri  Narayanayah am:
Sri Krishnaya nam: Sri Vasudevaya nam:

Rome wasn’t built in a day. It’s not possible to learn whole sadaachara in a single day. So we planned to give it by day by day order. Hope it would be convenient. These rules go well for ladies too (the contents has also been taken from Sthri Dharma).

The first and foremost act to do

In the first place, say krishnarpanam for each and every karma(work) done, whether it’s good or bad.
That’s the first step to reduce our ahamkara (arrogance) and mamakara(ego). Think everything I do is done by god, good and bad. So say krishnarpanam to each and every act that’s done every second, every minute, every year, every ugadhi and also everytime we go to temple.

yasmin sarvAn karmAni sanyasvAtmachEtasA
nirASIrnirmamO yAti paraM jayati sOchyutaH

yasmin – in this (god)
sarvAn karmAni sanyas – all the karmas (good and bad)
AtmachEtasA – anusandhana of  Shri Hari (inside)
nirASIrnirmamO yAti – keep heart in god saying this is happened by you
paraM jayati sOchyutaH - to achyuta

Without expecting ANYTHING from God do samarpana of all our deeds to achyuta who is inside us, (who is ready to accept all the samparanas). This in turn will lead us to humbleness and modesty which will finally lead us to moksha.
·       Good karma samarpana :  This punya karma is done by you sitting inside me. The phala (fruit) of this punya karma will go to devathas in moksha. Krishnarpana.

·       Samarpana for Bad karma

Bad karma like saying lies, scolding others face to face or within our conscious, cheating etc is done by our past deeds (bad karmas that we did in previous janma continues and tempts us to do bad now). Samarpana.
[ # God has given independence to think which is bad and good, hence it’s in our hands to control ourselves and not do the bad karma again again even after knowing its bad. ]

Shri Hari you stay within me. Through mukyaprana and through daityas you have done Ashubha karma (inauspicious). It should not have happened but because of the wrong in my past deeds it has happened. O, Shri Hari please help me avoid the bad karmas. These bad karmas cause sadness to daityas.

For better understaning in kannada please hear to sadaachara smruthi 2.

This has to be said 16 times or at least 8 times.

STEP 5
chant

Kapila Kapila
Say kapila kapila for 7 times seeing both the palms.

STEP 6

Karadarshana
One begins the day with this prayer. “Kara” means the palm of the hand and it stands for the karmendriyas*, or the organs of action. While looking at the palm, one invokes the Lord in the form of various deities, thus purifying all the actions that will be done during the day. The deity responsible for hands is INDIRA . Indira is promoter of Dharma. By acknowledging the Lord as the giver of the ability to perform actions and as the giver of the fruits of our actions, one sanctifies the actions. Thus, one prays in the morning to reinforce the attitude that all actions are performed as a service to the Lord.

·       The karmendriyas are kara (hand), pada(feet)
payu (rectum), upastha (gentails), vak (for speech)
since abhimani devata for hands is Indira , it is more important. As Indira (Devendra) is best.

·       The karmendriyas and their abhimani devatha (gives shakthi to that particular organ)
ear- Chandra
sparsha (touch) – Kubera
eyes – Surya
tounge – Varuna
Nose – Aswini devathas
The karmendriyas and their abhimani devatha (gives shakthi to that
Mouth – agni
Hands – Indra
Feet – Jayantha (son of  Indra)
Payu – Yama
Upastha – Dakshaprajapahi

 Karagre  vasade Lakshmi
kara Madhye saraswati
 kara mole stitha Gowri
prabhatee kara darsanam

Karagre – finger tip
Prabhatee – early morning

Pray this stotra looking at your palm
Meaning :
At the Top of the fingers is Goddess Lakshmi, on the palm is Goddess Saraswati, and in the wrist is Goddess Gowri .
Therefore one should Look at one's Hands in the Early Morning and think on them to give us wealth, the appropriate knowledge to use that wealth, and the strength to sustain us respectively.

Why Lakshmi, Saraswati and Gowri ?
Lakshmi – She gives us wealth.
Lakshmi is considered on the finger tips, because it is said money has to be used to contribute (help) for others. It’s not going to be permanent (shashvatha) with us.
Saraswathi – she represents Vidhya
Saraswathi is considered in the middle of the palm, which says our Vidhya has to be carefully preserved. It has to be shashvatha.
Gowri – gowri gives us strength
Gowri is also annapurni. Annapurni gives food (anna) for us, which we inturn should contribute to others.

Sometimes the words kara moola sada gowri is replaced by tu Govindah.

Sashtra says, with the sthri’s one has to think of their spouse to while praying:
Narayana Samedha Lakshmi
 Brahma Samedha Saraswati
Rudra Samedha Gowri

STEP 7
