• Destroyer of the fear of samsara.

Meaning :

O vishNu, I pray you only to make me not to be called selfish. Free the difficulties from good people. Krishna ! Please do not consider me as a fallen person. If You do so, I will lose the company of virtuous people. If I am far from noble people, I am also far from You. Krishna, I ask You to pull me away from wicked people & place me in the midst of the virtuous & free me from difficulties, O Vishnu.

• One who clears all wrong knowledge (samshya, agnana, and viparitha gnana)
• One who gives us sukha (pleasure and comfort) and removes asukha
• One whose form is like honey
• One who provides and knowledge to control our Indhriyas (Madhu = Indhriyas).
• One who killed ahi, vrutra, and vrutrata daityas

a.     AdhyAtma- Concerning the SELF (soul); b. Adhibhuta- Concerning five elements (panchabootha) pR^ithvi (Earth), appu (Water), tEjas (Fire), AkAsha (Sky) & vAyu (Air); c. Adhidaiva: Concerning divine deities.

Meaning :

 O trivikrama, Deplete the pApa which surrounds me (bcos of prev janmas) and give freedom from yama (ie., give mukti). 
O Trivikrama, I am engulfed in the darkness of sin. Redeem me from the clutches of endless wants & desires. You stand above the three qualities of sattva, rajas & tamas. Only You can save me from sin.

Vamana teaches us that arrogance and pride should be abandoned if any advancement in life is to be made, and that wealth should never be taken for granted since it can so easily be taken away.
